THE REAL BARRIER
You got the job. The bus schedule doesn't care.
You've been given a second chance, and you mean to do it right. You want a job, for the paycheck and for the feeling of earning your own way and paying your own bills. You want to pick your kids up from school and take them to the park. The will is there.
Then real life gets in the way. The shift starts at 5 a.m. and the buses don't run that early. Work is too far to walk. An appointment across town means leaving at lunch, and there's no way transit gets you back in time. An Uber isn't in the budget. None of it is about effort. It's about a ride. You need reliable transportation. You need Reentry Wheels.
How it works

Interview & assessment
Our team meets with you. The process typically takes no more than 30 days.
Meet the requirements
A valid California license (we can help) and a defensive driving course.
Get on the road
You become the registered driver of a reliable vehicle, carrying your own insurance.
Six-month program
Maintain the vehicle and give back with community service rides.
The title is yours!
Complete the program and the vehicle becomes yours to keep, for good.
Safety and accountability
We set you up to succeed with safety and support.
Most reentry programs treat transportation as a side service. We make it the whole focus and pair every vehicle with the training and support to keep people on the road.
The defensive driving course
Every participant completes a defensive driving course before they ever drive off, so they start safer and more confident.
GPS on every vehicle
Each car is GPS-equipped. It's how we keep vehicles accounted for and trust someone with a real car early in their reentry.
